Okay, who's bright idea was it to let Samandriel down here? He isn't really up for the big bad downstairs world, in his opinion. If Gabriel had a say in things, little brother would be staying home. Out of the trouble Gabriel just got him out of unknowingly.
"You almost got your ass jumped by demons. You're welcome," he says, appearing while leaning against the nearest wall with his arms folded and looking unimpressed.
Samandriel gasps slightly at his brother's appearance, and the sudden change in situation. He'd-- ...He'd known there were demons on his tail, but he'd been dealing with it. Or trying too. He's not as strong as his siblings, most of whom are older and more experienced than he with demons than he, so he's grateful for Gabriel's interference, but at the same time embarrassed.
"Th-thank you..." He murmurs, looking downward, as though looking at his archangel brother isn't something he should do. Something he's not worthy of. Wringing his hands, Samandriel, chances a glance upward, though his voice remains quiet. "You didn't have to do that for me."
Gabriel frowns slightly. Samandriel's reaction is a bit... unexpected. He remembered him having a bit more of a spine; at least around him. What the hell was going on while he wasn't home? "They were prepared for an average angel. You would have been just a bit boned. What brings you down here, anyway?"
That's complicated. Considering he's on the run from other angels after everything that happened with Crowley, Samandriel's not certain what to say. He glances downward, away from his brother for a long moment, trying to think of what to say, or how to word the situation.
"It's...complicated. Something happened... I was only down here to fetch the Word of God, but-- But things got..." Complicated. He trails off, still avoiding meeting Gabriel's gaze. He has the feeling that this brother of all of them would be the most understanding and forgiving, but he just...can't be sure. He doesn't know who he can really trust.
"You know I'm not Michael or Raphael, right?" Gabriel ask rhetorically. He's the one who slaps people upside the head rather than going for the turn into a fine mist option.
And then Samandriel keeps talking and he pinches the bridge of his nose. "You guys do know those things are supposed to be down here for in case of emergency and humans have problems? Who told you to cart it off?"
